Uh yes, it is! So far it seems to be following the manga pretty well, though we did have some complaints about the color of Lucy's tat, but that was a personal thing, it suits her character well. There's no downside to the series unless you really hated the manga series to begin with. We give it a five out of five since the characters carry most of themselves from the manga onto the animation boards fantastically—everything the same, no story skips, no additives.
