Sorry to say Dante’s Inferno may be feature the nine circles of hell, but it looks as if Kratos [from the God of War Trilogy] is doing the circling; the graphics too resemble that of the God of War game. To put it simple-like ‘It’s too damn similar’. To be honest it looks as if the creators of God of War took over EA and dictated their every action or worse they copied.
Dante’s Inferno’s main character’s breakdown or makeup is almost exactly [though I want to say exactly] like that of Kratos. The combat, of heavy and mild attacks, the stance and stature are too alike to call it as not of Kratos’. The resemblance is a little too much, even the way he runs looks like Kratos an bit. UGH!
The scenery or background, even share similarities; in the demo there’s a scene where you’re supposed ot fight some flying beast while on fragile ground, it made me feel like I was doing a Kratos vs. Harpies scene. Another similarity is the way the environment moves or breaks to get you to the next area-I’ll let you guess, yes that too was alike.
The only differences noticeable to me the fact that whoever EA teamed up with for the game, they pride themselves on their mini-bosses to further the story along, where as God of War didn’t so much; but the min-bosses could be a downfall as well, for people who detest mini-bosses and deem them a waste of time.
Personally I’m going to play the game despite all that I said, I’m curios to see how far the similarity goes. I also can’t really rate since I’ve only played the demo. If and once I get the game I’ll give a full report.
What to do when it comes out? RENT IT, unless you want Kratos in a crusader costume.
Sorry Dante’s Inferno, I just hope you're not a trilogy….
